Tritons Hall of Fame

We've had many victories since we first formed in 2016. Here are a few of the stand out moments for the Tritons.

Winners - Sydney grudge match 2016

In September 2016, the Tritons travelled to Sydney to play against the Sydney Stingers and Melbourne Surge for our first interstate competition (and first game against another team!).

With some great effort and luck, the Tritons won the overall competition, beating Sydney Stingers 

Semi finals - Brisbane Summer cOMPETITION

For our first season in Brisbane Summer competition, we had two teams make it through to the semi-finals of their divisions for 2016/17!

Pride cup 2017

The Tritons partnered with the Brisbane Barracudas to host the 2017 National League Pride Cup at the Valley pool.

Two all-star teams featuring players from the Tritons, Sydney Stingers, Melbourne Surge, Brisbane Barracudas, and Queensland Breakers competed for the first ever Pride Shield.


Tritons University 2016

In November 2016, members from the Barracudas National League team ran a weekend long workshop for the Tritons, featuring support from Olympians, National League players, Brisbane Barracudas, and international sporting committees. 

LGBTI Inclusion Awards 2017

Two of our coaches, Mel Rippon and Damien Hicks received the Coach of the Year award for their work with the Brisbane Tritons and Brisbane Barracudas, helping break down barriers and open more oppurtunities for the Tritons in the water polo community.

Tritons' first bootcamp - Feb 2016

In February 2016, we held our first bootcamp for new players, coached by Simon Daley. From this small group, we've grown to over 90 members!
